Marilena Aligizaki was born in Athens in 1984. She studied Conservation of Antiquities and Fine Art at TEI of Athens and later Painting at the School of Fine Arts in Athens (professor Panos Charalampous). She has participated in several group exhibitions in Europe, such as Imaginary Bauhaus Museum Goes Gorki- Gorki theater Berlin, Identalterity– 5th Biennale Thessaloniki, Dialogos 8, New Babylon Revisited - Goethe-Institute, Voices-CAMP and En Tete-Paris 8. In 2012 received a scholarship for ERASMUS semester at university Paris8, in Paris, in the department of Art Plastique. Since 2014 she is a student at the Master of Fine Arts (MFA), at the Athens School of Fine Arts (professors Zafos Xagoraris, Pantelis Chandris, Marios Spiliopoulos). In 2015 received a scholarship for ERASMUS PLUS semester at university Bauhaus, in Weimar, in the department MFA-Program, Public Art and New Artistic Strategies, (professors Danica Dakic, Boris Buden). Lives and works in Athens.
